Half day city tour of Darjeeling. |

| Drive to Yuksom (5,500 ft), the first capital of Sikkim. It was here that the first Chogyal was consecrated by the three holy Lamas. Enroute visit the second oldest monastery at Pemayangtse |
| Day 4 |

Leaving Yuksom you walk through a forest of Oak, Spruce, Magnolias and Rhododendrons. A good variety of Orchids are also seen. Camp is by the river in the forest. |
| Day 5 |

Begin with a steep climb to the forest bungalow at Bakhim. Continue through forests to the Tibetan refugee settlement of Tsokha. Camp at Tsokha (9,000 ft). This is also the only permanent settlement on this trail. The village is dominated by the snow capped peak of Mt. Pandim in the background. |
| Day 6 |

Begin with a steep climb to the forests to a clearing at Phedang, another excellent view point. Continue with a steady climb for an hour or so to Deorali Dara from where you can see the Kanchenjunga range. The going gets easier as the trail traverses gently through stunted Rhododendron forest, slopes of Alpine flowers to the wide open meadow (grazing ground of the Yaks) of Dzongri at 13,250 ft. |
| Day 7 |

Raft Padum-Zangla.(5hrs;30km;Class II). Camp overnight. |
After an early breakfast you walk over the ridge past fluttering prayer flags for some awesome views of the Kanchenjunga massif flaunted by its secondary peaks. Continue down to Bakhim. |

Drive to Gangtok via Rumtek monastery. |

Drive Gangtok - Bagdogra. Connect flight to Delhi. Late night departure for flight back home from Delhi. |
