Day 1 - MONDAY - DELHI ARRIVAL |
Flight to Delhi. Late night arrival at Delhi. You will be met by the Innovative destinations representative in the arrival hall after you have cleared the Customs formalities and escorted to your hotel where accommodation will be protected on immediate occupancy basis.

Day 2 - TUESDAY - DELHI |
|
Full day at Delhi. Besides the traditional monuments and historical buildings of the city Delhi also offers a large choice of Railway related activities to the Railfan.
Among these the principal are
- Visit to the National Railway Museum.
- Excursion to the Steam Shed at Rewari (83 kms).
- A visit to the Railway Stations of Delhi city.
- On Wednesdays visit to the Delhi Cantt station for viewing the Palace on Wheels.
- Visit to the New Delhi Station from the State Entry road to view the Reserved Carriages with a direct access from the Connaught Place.
- The New Delhi Metro (photography is not permitted on the New Delhi Metro).
It is also possible to arrange guest lectures by senior railway officials and / or rail fans. Slideshows on specific subjects, trips and the history of the Indian Railways can be arranged. For the delight of the railfans we can arrange to invite members of local railfan clubs or associations for an interaction where they will regale you with their experiences of journeys through the country as well as some of the most memorable footplating expeiences.

| Day 3 - WEDNESDAY - DELHI - BOARD THE PALACE ON WHEELS |
Morning free. Check out of the hotel at 1200 noon. (late check out is subject to availability).
Report 1630 hrs at Delhi Cantt Railway Station to traditional welcome, check-in & wait to be escorted to your Saloon. Depart Delhi 1745 Hrs for Jaipur. Dinner on board. |
| Day 4 - THURSDAY - JAIPUR |
Royal welcome in Jaipur-The Pink City. Morning Discover the marvel of 16th century mix of Hindu & Mughal architecture on Elephant Back at Amber Fort Palace. Lunch at former Royal Residence of Maharaja of Jaipur- Rambagh Palace Hotel. Afternoon visit 19th century built City Palace & Royal Museum & adjoining Jantar Mantar-observatory built in 18th century; followed by shopping for precious stones & semi-precious gems. Depart Jaipur 1700 Hrs for Jaisalmer. Dinner on Board. |
| Day 5 - FRIDAY - JAISALMER |
Travel by Palace On Wheels to the Desert Town of Jaisalmer, founded in 12th century & renowned for it's "Golden Fort", where people still continue to live & trade in mansions constructed in 16th to 18th centuries. |
| Day 6 - SATURDAY - JODHPUR |

The heritage train of Rajasthan takes you to the town of Imposing Mehrangarh Fort, built a top hillock in 16th century & never captured. Lunch at present Royal Residence of Maharaja of Jodhpur-Umaid Bhawan Palace Hotel. Depart Jodhpur 1600 Hrs for Sawai Madhopur.

| Day 7 - SUNDAY - SAWAI MADHOPUR - RANTHAMBOR |
Early morning visit to Ranthambhor Forests for glimpse of the Royal Tiger, in the former hunting preserve of the Maharaja of Jaipur. Depart Sawai Madhopur 1100 hrs for Chittorgarh.
Lunch on Board.
Afternoon visit to ruins of Chittor Fort originally built in 8th century atop sprawling hill & abandoned in 16th century. Dinner on Board. Night, palace on wheels stationary at Chittorgarh Station. |
| Day 8 - MONDAY - UDAIPUR |
Full day excursion to City of Lakes-Udaipur by bus. Founded in 16th century by former rulers of Chittorgarh, it is said to be the most romantic city East of Suez. Lunch at former Royal Summer Palace located on an island- Lake Palace Hotel.
Drive back to Chittorgarh to board the Luxury train for overnight journey Bharatpur. |
| Day 9 - TUESDAY - BHARATPUR |
Early morning the Palace on Wheels arrives at Bharatpur which is famous for its Bird Sanctuary - the former hunting preserve of the Maharaja of Bharatpur.
Drive to Agra via Fatehpur Sikri, a well preserved Ghost Town of Fatehpur-Sikri, capital of the Mughal Empire for short while in 16th Century. Lunch in Agra Hotel. Afternoon free to enjoy the sheer beauty of The Taj Mahal- poetry of love in marble. Evening visit to Marble factories & showrooms.
Board the Palace on wheels. Depart by the Palace on Wheels at 2100 Hrs. |
| Day 10 - WEDNESDAY - DELHI |
Early morning arrival at Delhi Cantt by Palace on Wheels. Have a sumptuous breakfast & bid farewell to the Luxury Train Tour by 0800 Hrs. Transfer to your hotel.
Rest of the day is at leisure for last minute souvenir shopping / rest before the flight. Late evening transfer from the hotel to the airport for flight back home. |
